What is the marriage process in CA?

Couples must obtain a marriage license from a County Clerk's office or through a licensed notary like Sarah, Wedding with Christina's in-house notary public.-
Both parties need to appear in person, present valid government-issued IDs, and provide any required documentation (e.g., divorce papers if previously married).

The marriage must be solemnized by an authorized officiant. -
3. File the License:
After the ceremony, the signed marriage license must be returned to the County Clerk's office for official recording.​
